The Sporting team was good for the League Cup finals in Portugal after eliminating Braga on the 1/2-final after shooting. In regular time, the match ended with a score of 1:1, and in the overtime the two teams did not score more goals. However, the Lisboans showed stronger nerves in the 11-meter strikes and reached the 4:3 victory.

The decisive gap, however, made Ricardo in the 7th performance for Braga, and immediately after that, Jelferson was accurate and so ranked the Lisbon Eagles ahead of the tournament.

In the final, Sporting will face his big enemy Porto, who on Tuesday defeated Benfica 3:1 in the other semifinals. The clash for the trophy will be on January 26 at the Munsispal Stadium in Braga.
