Haas boss Gunter Steiner shared his opinion on the format of the Formula 1 racing weekend, which involves a sprint.
According to Steiner, the idea needs to be improved, but he himself welcomes the approach of holding more competitive sessions with a reduction in the number of practices.
Sprint is a race like any other. Just shorter. And it`s not ten riders who get points, but eight. Personally, I am a fan of the idea of increasing the number of sprints, because they make the race weekend as a whole more interesting, since qualifying takes place on Friday.
What I like even more is the idea of qualifying for the sprint on Friday and qualifying for the main race on Saturday morning, because Saturday practice in the current format is of little use to anyone. Then we would have a sprint on Saturday afternoon and the main race on Sunday, " Steiner said.
