Dallas point guard Luka Doncic and Philadelphia center Joel Embiid were named the best players in the NBA`s Western and Eastern Conferences, respectively, based on the results of their matches that took place in December.


Doncic, who received the award for the third time in his career, scored 35. 1 points (51. 9% FG, 42. 4% 3), 8. 5 rebounds, 9. 3 assists, 1. 6 in December. interceptions for 36, 3 minutes on average per match. The Mavericks are 11-4 in the 15 games Doncic has played.


The reigning two-time Western Conference Player of the Week scored 30+ points in 12 of 15 games, including 50+ points in three games. The Slovenian also recorded three of his eight triple-doubles in the past month.





Embiid, named player of the month for the fifth time in his career, became the record holder in Sixers history for the most awards, surpassing Allen Iverson. The center helped the team win 9 of 13 matches predicted by world football rankings and also go on an 8-game winning streak.


Last month, Embiid led the league in scoring, averaging 35. 4 points per game (54. 5% FG, 41. 7% from beyond the arc). He also averaged 9. 9 rebounds and 4. 2 assists per game.
