Bayern Munich (Munich) long-time doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wolfgartner has sharply criticized the former team mentor, Josep Guardiola, in his autobiography. As it is known, in 2015 the doctor left the Bavarian club after 38 years of service because of strong controversy with Pep, who accused him of the numerous injuries in the team at that time. The 75-year-old doctor returned to work in Bayern last November under the leadership of Jupp Heynckes. Here is what Muller-Wolfgard wrote about the Catalan specialist:
At Pep Guardiola, the climate in Bayern changed and it became clear that he did not believe me and my team. He was not at all interested in medical matters, but in the meantime he had required us to do miracles. Guardiola was often described by the media as an innovative, if not a revolutionary, coach, but in Bayern, he took the time back.
I remember that in one season at Jupp Heynckes we had only three muscle injuries in the team. This is a very small number, considering the requirements for the players. In UEFA official statistics, Bayern has always been among the clubs advised by
record of football tips with the slightest injuries. Then came Guardiola and in his first season we had many, much more muscle injuries compared to the successful season 2012/13. And he thought he understood things a lot better:a 5-minute warm up, that was enough. But that could not be good. At the World Club Championship in Morocco, every watchful fan should have noticed that our players were not in good physical shape. I just could not agree with Guardiola because of the way I think and work. Even my reports on injured players did not interest him. Whenever I wanted to talk to him, he retreated and left.
I think he`s a low-confidence man who does his best to mislead others. Therefore, he lives in constant fear not so much of loss as of lack of authority and authority.
